A Perfect Marriage is Just Two Imperfect!
Perfect Marriage – Is There Any Such Thing Like That?
When there is no one perfect in this world then how two people coming together in a marriage can have a perfect marriage.
We have too many fairy tale notions about marriage. We come into relationships with too many expectations. When the reality of marriage doesn’t meet our expectations, we tend to blame reality.
When it comes to marriage, we’re convinced that marriage will solve all of our problems, our partner will meet all of our needs, and that we’ll live happily ever after.
Perfect Marriage is a Myth.
When a marriage looks perfect, most of the time what you are really seeing is work, commitment, and creativity of the two people involved.
Happy couples also fight, disagree and argue. They too have their highs and lows with each other.
For marriage to be successful, you need to be involved and committed for your efforts to make it work. Couples need to work to maintain that.
Marriages are successful where there is good communication, support of each other, common goals and a true purpose to make it work.
Find the right Ingredients
When you have all the right ingredients then you have your reason to smile and be happy with each other. Most of all, you need to identify the common interests that bind you together and give you reason to spend time together, chat together and laugh together.
When there are no common goals and a purpose to bind the two people together, there could be a defeat and people give up on each other and may lead to divorce.
Identify Your Flow of Life
Any relationship to work, needs a flow in life. For that flow you need to identify your passions, your relationship goals, and your purpose together. One should never enter a marriage expecting it to be perfect and easy.
If they do, they will be sorely disappointed. There are no free rides in marriage or in life. It’s work and it’s hard and that’s all there is to it.
Most of those who want you to believe they are in perfect marriages are secretly miserable. The rest of us will admit it takes work. It takes a lot of compromise, a lot of mutual respect, and a lot of tending.
Spice it Up!
You need to spice up your marriage by making an effort. As a couple you need to find your way to recharge — by traveling alone together, learning new activities (rock climbing, surfing, or zip-lining), or enjoying old ones (biking, working out together, eating good food, or seeing movies). That is what everyone needs.
Then there are Essentials of a Healthy Marriage:
