The Awkward But Essential Office Chitchat is Missing!

Office chitchat is kind of a missing in Work from Home Concept forced during these COVID19 social distancing.

The Essential Office Chitchat

People are robbed of that impromptu encounters that they had at their desks, in the hallways, by the elevators, in the lunchroom, or by the water coolers.

Those Office Chitchats were essential ways to forge links between people and encouraged a culture of openness and venting out the stress at work. It gave people a chance to know each other better and to create a great feeling of collaboration.

COVID 19 Social Distancing Challenges

Today due to COVID 19 social distancing, this has made partners couped 24×7 with each other. Both have their own challenges and coping mechanism. But this is leading to more bickering and isolation for a person who feel that there is no time left for them to release themselves.

Current scenario is a challenging time. Corporate people are facing challenge of lot of stress at work. There is no human connect. No feeling of being part of team, or collaborating with each other. All the day on Zoom and interacting with faces behind the screen has just added more stress, more fatigue and depression.

In this tough time where there is tremendous work pressure, continuous fear of job loss and a fading line between managing home and work is just leading to Insomnia, Backaches, Restlessness, Stress and Anxiety due to prolonged working hours, no in between coffee breaks, no consoling ears for work crisis and problems.

Blurring Professional and Personal Life

Work from home has blurred the line separating personal and professional life. There is no room left to de-stress, to be motivated or to unleash the pressure and crisis faced.

But if we continue to be in this unconscious state and wont make changes to unleash, this accumulation can lead to mental health problems.
