Social Distancing- Adapting to the New Normal

Social Distancing

Human socializing had been a complicated space where humans were creating hell havoc on the ecosystem. Mother earth was struggling for its own balance but was in vain. Then happened a “Great Novel Corona” who brought Pandemic waves to the whole world.

“Socializing” which once meant to reach out… meet more people, be popular is now replaced by the more deeper meaning of life which was very well the essence of  spirituality ie –Just Be With Yourself!

Social Distancing (Keeping Your Distance to Stay Safe)-That’s the New Normal!

Irony in pandemic-induced social distancing that pushes humans to the confines of their home, recuperates the lost connection of birds, and animals with mother nature. Wildlife such as sambar deer, small Indian civet, peacocks, elephants and even nilgai, took over India’s deserted streets to show that they are marking their territories again.

The existence of space around us says..
“You are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky without you are fine. When you come back, remember that you are my guests. Not my masters.”

As nature acted its forces on us to be in the lockdown, it gave us the new dimension to life too. We were caught up in the vicious cycle of our daily life. We had various reasons to complain for our self imposed issues like pollution, traffic chaos, stress, too much work pressure, no time for family, no time to exercise, needing a break, wanting to be myself for sometime, why i need more all the time and so on…

Stay Home became a New Staycation.

Book Reading a Favorite Passtime During Lockdown
The best thing to do around #lockdown is to read your favorite #books which were started but never came to an End… Follow Me on Instagram

Stepping out of the house and finding reasons to be happy is no more a norm of the day! Now we can read a book, take a long shower or just lie on the bed and stare at the ceiling. We have our reasons to wake up early, spread the curtains wide, open the window and breathe in – breathe out. Sip our favorite tea and enjoy the beautiful chirping around. You feel so positive and you fill your home with positivity and see how it brings a change in everything around.

Social Distancing is a new Closeness

With our hectic work schedules, we barely got time to spend time with family or our home. We were part of a vicious cycle of tiredness.

social distancing brought us close to our family, our home, to ourselves.
This social distancing brought us close to our family, our home, to ourselves.

We never realized the hidden pleasures of doing things together at home. For the first time we lived life in real sense as part of the home. Sharing responsibilities, us time, watching Ramayana and Mahabharata, cooking favorite foods and enjoying in peace, doing family fitness workouts together, and sharing the feeling of gratitude for being part of each other.

Social distancing taught us to just Sit and Relax in the comfort of our home.

A New Perspective to Socialising.

Physically distanced but emotionally more connected to ourselves and to the real people in our lives.

This social distancing gave us the reasons to explore our hidden talents. We explored our new artistic side  and some of us chose to be the Master Chefs of our house.

Social Distancing taught us the Art of Gratitude!

The art of Gratitude towards mother nature, our leadership, health workers, community workers, for all what life has offered us in its small ways as a blessing.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
